Leg-to-Body Ratio Calculator
Are your legs long or short relative to your torso? Two measurements answer it.
About this tool
Inseam-to-height typically falls between 0.44 and 0.48 for adults. Leg-to-torso ratio divides inseam by the rest of your height (which includes the head, neck and trunk). Longer legs suit high-rise trousers less, and shorter legs benefit from mid or high-rise and minimal shoe stacking.
Measure inseam from crotch to floor with shoes off, using a book pressed level against the crotch and a wall for the floor line.
